There are so many things to do around and about Riverside Campsite. Here are a few ideas to get you started. For more ideas and a feel for Yorkshire, visit Yorkshire Visitors Guide
Skipton Castle is one of the best preserved and most complete castles in England. Found in nearby Skipton it embodies over 900 years of, often, turbulent history. Easily reached from your base at Riverside Campsite either by car or frequent train from Cononley station just a few minutes walk away.
Parcevall Hall Gardens offers twenty four acres of beautiful woodland gardens in the magnificent Yorkshire Dales countryside. Peace and tranquillity await you as you explore these gardens laid out from 1927 onwards by the late Sir William Milner. Reached by taking a pleasant car drive through the beautiful Dales, Parcevall Hall is close by Appletreewick in Wharfedale.
Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is a little further afield and is an ideal day out amongst unspoilt surroundings for family and friends. The four and a half mile trail boasts some of the most spectacular waterfall and oak woodland scenery in the UK. Following a scenic drive, from your base at Riverside Campsite, through the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is to be found on the edge of the village of Ingleton
Thornton Hall Country Park is a great way to tire out the kids! With animal petting, pony rides and grooming, rope swings, bale mountain, caterpillar ride and quad bikes – to mention but a few of the attractions, you’ll love to “keep ’em down on the farm”.
