Riverside Walk

Riverside Walk from Riverside Campsite

This easy riverside walk makes for a pleasant stroll through fields and along the riverbank of the River Aire. About a mile long it might take half an hour – unless you sit a while to enjoy the scenery or get chatting to other walkers!

As with any walk in the countryside the way could be wet and muddy, especially after rain. So be sure to wear suitable footwear.

From Riverside Campsite reception make your way to the Tenting Field and head for the gate at the bottom left corner of the field

Please take care to safeguard the ground-nesting birds and take control of your dogs because there may be grazing animals and their young ones sharing the riverbank.

The path follows the winding river through a number of gates.

You may see canoeists along the way.

On the far side of the gate beside a hole in the fence, the way takes a left turn.

Climb up the embankment and from the top you’ll see a stile in the bottom left corner of the field.

Go through the stile, across the farm track and through a second stile into a large field.

Follow the, possibly faint path to the left, diagonally across the field to the gate in the far corner.

If you are with a rally and in field two you can finish your walk through the gate in the fence on the right. Congratulations on completing the Riverside Walk.

If not, continue to and through the gate in the corner.

Follow the footpath with the campsite on your right.
